FOF Video #5 - Switch to the Feast of Fools - 04.01.06
Today the Feast of Fools turns 9. As we do on every April Fool's Day, we look back on our past to see how far we've come (and how far we have to go.) Here are some "switch" ads we made in the spring of 2002. The first one is of me in drag talking about my early years as a Karen Carpenter impersonator, when I was a little "thinner."
Check out these hilarious and fascinating PRE-iPod "siloutette" ads we made, inspired by Apple computer's own "switch" ads. Which many people feel that somebody at Apple's ad agency HAD to have seen these ads. Thanks again to everyone who's shared the mic with me for the last years!
The most beautiful woman on the internet Victoria Lamarr takes a moment away from her busy schedule from cleaning houses to share some of her deepest secrets with you, her beloved fans.

Check out Miss Vicki as she gives expert advice to her gal-pal Daphne Dumont about how to apply your hair and makeup in order to win those beauty pageants.
Victoria Lamarr is feeling a little blue today, because her sweet mother wont leave the apartment. Somtimes, you just want to scream. Other times, you just want to write a song about love that never seems to end.
Check this hypnotising video of our little Miss Vicki singing her new song "Sail on the Ocean." What we want to know is, will the European market go for this song?
You can't keep a good girl down. Victoria Lamarr returns from the hospital with a vengance, and a renewed sense of beauty and purpose.
Watch this crazy video of her "past" as a porn star. Victoria says she's very thankful for all the qpodders and qfans who donated the money to make this possible. Thank you!
Take a trip back in time to 1985 and watch drag legend Holly Woodlawn sing one of her favorite songs "Tell Him" at the Dukes and Divas Show at the Limelight in New York City.
The Limelight was a legendary 1980's New York City nightclub that was made from a an old Presbyterian Cathedral. Many big stars performed there, including Randy Jones, Michael Musto, and megacelebrity-to-be Madonna.

Click here to watch the movie. John Sex was the most exciting entertainer in Downtown New York until he lost his life to AIDS in early 1989. Admired by Andy Warhol, best friends with Keith Haring, loved by Liberace, John Sex blended dance, rock and Broadway into a Las Vegas spectacle that was oh-so sassy-fying. Fortunately for us today, he was also friends with Nelson Sullivan who videotaped many of his fabulous shows.
Richard Metzger, who lived with Nelson Sullivan for a while in the 80's, directed this super music video for John and his co-stars The Bodacious Ta-Ta's. It's a genuine masterpiece and a wonderful tribute to one our most favorite entertainers and all-the-way nice guys, John Sex!

Click here to watch the movie. On monday's show I chatted with gay historian and video archvist Robert Coddington, who generously shared this delicious clip caught in the mid 80's by Nelson Sullivan, of the original Village People cowboy Randy Jones singing "Boots Are Made for Walkin'. The back-up dancers in this footage are really hot.
The woman introducing Randy is none other than drag-legend Holly Woodlawn, which we'll be ending our pride series with a phone interview with her.
UPDATE: Here is the movie in Windows Media format in case you don't/wan't to have quicktime on your computer.
