One of the most beautiful sounds that comes out of Puerto Rico besides the music itself, is the ambient gorgeous sounds of the tropical rainforest. Full of life, the ears explode in a majestic lush of sound that can only come from a dense canopy of thousands of lifeforms calling out to each other.

Okay, I’m waxing a bit too much poetic, but I AM from Puerto Rico. This music and these sounds and the Yunque itself (the name for the mountain/preserve) are a big part of my psyche, my personality and my idenity. So indulge me! Read more…
