By Marc Felion on May 30, 2008
Here’s your weekend movie. Todd Hanye’s 1987 Cult Classic “Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story” which tells the story of Karen Carpenter’s rise to stardom and her eventual death due to anorexia mostly played by Barbie Dolls.
Things not to be missed are the stage lights made from the LITE BRITE toy during the song “We’ve Only Just Begun,” Nixon playing “Sing” on the piano and the tiny handmade EX-LAX boxes.

Last night, the mind-boggling Eartha Kitt wowed ‘em at Puffy’s party and even treated curbside onlookers to a few bars of this insightful, Dietrich-esque camp classic.
And that ain’t all: After the jump, intense young Eartha forcefully delivers one of her signature songs, “I Want to Be Evil.”
