Jazz-singing siren Jen Zias grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania with our very own Marc Felion.
Upon moving to Chicago she joined a popular band Samba Bamba formed by local comedy personality and cabaret pianist Richard Knight Jr. I first heard of them because we both used to perform at this lovely cheezy Brazilian themed restaurant in the late 90’s here in Chicago, the Rhumba Restaurant.
People, we’re dedicated to keeping this colorful blog coming your way! Marc and I were in a freakish car accident (our car didn’t fare too well, but we’re just fine, we think) and despite all the drama and waiting hours to file a police report, we managed to tape this show anyways!
Listen to our car accident story, as well as Jenn’s hilarious stories of growing up with Marc in Erie, working as a children’s theater singer and what motivates her to dedicate her life to performing beautiful music.
If you live in Chicago, be sure to check out Jen and her trio every Friday and Saturday night starting February 3rd at the Drake Hotel! Visit Jen Zias’ website for more details.
Coming this week! Coverage of MacWorld and the keynote, and gem-sweater diva Leslie Hall bares all backstage before her show at the Beat Kitchen in Chicago, Illinois.
