Gay cowboy movie Brokeback Mountain unfortunately did not sweep the Oscar awards last night. However it did win three awards:
• Best Director- Ang Lee
• Best Adapted Screenplay- Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana
• Best Original Score- Gustavo Santaolalla

You really got to give it to Argentine born Gustavo Santaolalla for writing such a great score for Brokeback Mountain which along with the advertising campagin and the art of the closeup allowed dozens of parody movies to pop up everywhere.

What was terribly disappointing was the lack of personal stance on gay marriage any of the alleged-heterosexual Hollywood folks made after profiting from so many movies this year based on queer themes. (Transamerica, Capote, Brokeback Mountain)

We’re thrilled that these movies have been made. They’ve made money and are critically acclaimed, but come on Hollywood! Give the gays some props. A shout out would have been nice to us real homosexuals. At LEAST give us one measly moment of Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger standing next to each other! It would have been nice to see a photo of them together at the Oscars (like an alternative reality where they lived happily ever after.)

On today’s “Oscarcast” (there we said it, and now we own the domain!) we’ll be discussing and disecting the Isaac Mizrahi’s and Ryan Seacrest’s red carpet interviews, a move we feel was made by the good folks at E Television as a nod to BB (that’s industry talk for Brokeback Mountain.)

Join Fausto, Marc, V-Marr and Amanda as we talk about dozens of red carpet celebs and their clothing, Dolly Parton’s song “Travelin’ Thru”
(available FREE by clicking here)
and Jon Stewart’s joke about Hollywood being out of touch with the American public.

Pictured on the right is Transamerica’s Felicity Huffman trying hard not to look like a tranny, so she wore a see-through black dress.
