The rapturous beauty in the tragic story of two young men in a Nazi training academy took our breath away last night!

We’re talking about the Denis Gansel film “Napola” (Before the Fall) which takes place at an elite Nazi school for future leaders of the “Thouand Year Reich.” In the film, a young handsome boxer (played by Max Riemelt) has to decide to follow the path of the Nazis or to break away.

This film beautifully captures the anguish the young men felt at the harsh Nazi military school. It ALSO feels like it borrows from a lot of great films like “Brokeback Mountain”, “Harry Potter”, “Titanic”, “Dead Poets Society” and “Schindler’s List.” A film you should definitively see. We give it THREE thumbs up, if you know what we mean by that!

On today’s show Amanda, Marc and Fausto chat about why Nazi’s seem so gay, why gays can be such Nazi’s, Tom and Jerry Cartoons, the jewish legacy of comedy, President Bush’s stinky farts, Tom of Finland, hypermasculinity, and why we think the incredibly sexy Max Riemelt is Germany’s answer to Jake Gyllenhaal.

Pictured on the right is a still from Napola where Freidrich (Max Riemelt) gets his eye colors examined to see if he’s “Arian” enough. Is it me or is it a tad gay to see all these grown men fawning over the “perfect male specimen?” These grown men were cooing and drooling over their tender young “chicken” more than Dr Frankenfurter (Tim Curry) did in the musical film “Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

By the way, does anyone know if Chuck Jones was gay? We can’t seem to find any proof online.
