Cass King and John Woods first started dating under the pretense of wanting to collaborate musically. The first year the couple met, they spent mostly discovering each other, you know, in BED.
These days the newly married polyamorous couple has turned their love for each other, sex and music into a superb act called The Wet Spots. Think of them as the sex-ed class you never had but should have, reincarnated as a jazzy cabaret musical show.
Check out this hilarious video of their new song “Do You Take It in the Ass?”
The Wet Spots’ music seems to be a delightful fusion of “Exotica” (post-World War Two Polynesian influenced lounge music), Cabaret, rock, and lots of sexy lyrics thrown in for good measure. This polyamorous couple bring in influences of Martin Denny, Yma Summac, Esquivel and Perez Prado all into one hypnotic, entrancing, hilarious show about sex education.
Cass and John have traveled all the way from Toronto, Canada all the way to the Windy City to perform their special show “Sing Your Way to Better Sex” at the Lakeshore theater THIS weekend. Go check out their show, it looks like loads of fun. I’ll be there at the second showing on Saturday night!
Listen to todays show as Marc and Fausto hang out in their swinging pad with these cool cats (Cass and John) as we talk about their show, taking it up the ass, how they met, bisexuality, polyamory, religion as a disease, and why acid and syphyllus are making a big comeback, and why embracing sexuality in all it’s rich and colorful forms is so important (and fun.) Thanks to fab listeners Bradford from Durham NC and Jim Leija from Michigan for turning us on to them!
Listen to the show for details on how you can win a pair of tickets to their show this weekend!
