Chris Garneau is so adorable. He is even cuter in person than he looks in his press photographs. He has beautiful eyes and a great big smile.
Last Saturday Jim Verraros, his boyfriend Bill Brennan, Marc Felion and myself, Fausto Fernós and a ton of FOF-Fans all went to the ALT Q Music Festival to check out the fabulous line up and lose ourselves in the sweet sounds of artists like Zrazy, Natalia Zuckerman, Actor Slash Model. Tom Yore and Chris Garneau. We really have to tip our hats to Scott Free fro making this year’s Alt Q festival an incredible experience yet again.
Chris is in many ways a cute little emo doll and I tried my hardest to make him smile when I met him. Mission accomplished!

Today we open up some packages on the show from far off lands. Sean and Mel from Australia sent me a belated birthday present. We also got a package with gifts for everyone on the show from the Philippines. Marc lost the card from the package because he was so eager to see what was on the in the package because it had green tape all over it and it said “Opened by Customs and Border Protection” with the great big seal of the Department of Homeland Security. You’re going to have to listen to the show to see what we got. I guess they have Taliban in Phillipines.
Our former resident trannie Victoria Lamarr moved to Florida to seek sunnier beaches and to escape the crazy atmosphere here in Chicago, but sadly all the traumatic atmosphere has seemed to follow poor Vicki. V-marr calls in to tell us about her roommate’s crack induced knife wielding, hooker stabbing, self mutilation bender. Don’t worry though, the roommate is in jail and V-marr is safe and sound and already has a brand new roommate. Boy does she work fast!
So Marc started talking on today’s about a youtube video called The Original Edna Turnblad, Miss Totie Fields that he mistakenly thought was already on our own site. Whoops!
It was originally uploaded to YouTube by mrpussypants. If you haven’t seen the wealth of queer movies he has up on YouTube, please go check it out. Mr. PussyPants is like the Rome of YouTube for us-all roads lead to him. Wherever we go on YouTube I always end up heading back his way and boy do I get confused.
The video is funny enough as is, but the real appeal is seeing what just could be Harris Milstead’s inspiration for his Mrs. Turnblad character in John Water’s legendary film Hairspray. I guess you could say that Totie is Divine Inspiration!
Like a slice of hot cherry pie- the Feast of Fools podcast is always full of sweet, juicy, fruity deliciousness.

To do an Australian accent, start with a Cockney, but pronounce the “h”, turn a “t” into a softer “d,” and make the syllables sound less proper and more casual.

I think you should start naming the V-Marr shows like movie sequels. She’s like the character who dies at the end of the movie, only to miraculously jump out of the meat grinder at the beginning of the next movie, fully and fabulously unharmed, with all of her makeup intact.

Maia… that was the funniest damn thing. V-Marr is like Kenny on South Park. Ya keep killin’ her, but she always comes back to life in the next episode!
Seriously though, we do love our V-Marr… even if she turns up like a penny a lot. That story was insane. I thought I had some crazy goings-on in my life. V-Marr, you take the cake, honey.
I wish I could have gone to the Alt Q festival, but I was still in recovery mode myself that night. I definitely want to make it to the next one. It sounds like a fun time.
