Did you know that great African-American scientist George Washington Carver was gay? Boy was he!
We were watching the Learning channel the other day when they did a fabulous documentary on the lovely fellow, about his achievements and such and how he never married and lived surrounded by male college students his whole life. And how he loved to crochet and talk to the flowers early in the morning.
This didn’t get our gay-dar into full tilt, until we heard his voice. And what a voice! So we proceeded to poke around the internet, and found out that he enjoyed “giving young men massages with peanut oil” and was lovers with fellow college professor Austin Curtis whom he loved for many years.
Of course, since he never made it to the cover of People magazine, his sexuality is still under debate, especially because he’s such an inspiration to many people.
What a fabulous show we have for you today! Mr. Gay - Chicago, Erik R. Sosa comes over to have “good time” and talk about being a pageant winner, artist and gay father. And he’s really really cute.
Erik is a proud papa but finds being a gay dad more challenging than he ever imagined. Why did he break his nose in a bar fight? What inspires him as an artist? What made him want to suddenly become a father? Check out his website here.
The podcast that fights illiteracy, world hunger and twirls the baton like a mean mother- Feast of Fools, of course!
