Writer, theater manager and tantric sex expert Barabra Carrellas on the Feast of Fools podcastToday’s show will change your life. Maybe.

Let’s talk about sex baby! Just what makes it work for some and not others? How can you use sex as a way of healing yourself, bringing in creative energy and making yourself aware of the world around you?

Arising from the HIV/AIDS crisis during the 80’s sex expert, theater manager and author Barbara Carrellas found herself helping women, men, transsexuals, artists, people with life-threatening illnesses. We are blessed to have her here with us today to talk about her new book “Urban Tantra: Sacred Sex for the Twenty First Century

Urban TantraWe’re bringing in accidental sex expert, theater manager and author Barbara Carrellas to talk about her new book “Urban Trantra : Sacred sex for the twenty first century.”

I like to think of the book as a “how-to” guide to re-awaken your whole life using the Tantric Sex Philosophy. It’s written in a really playful, casual style that is a blast to read and giggle along as Barabra walks you thorough the juicy details on every aspect of the ancient philosophy of Tantric Sex.

In part one of our interview, Barbara Carrellas explains Tantra to be the radical departure of ancient Indian philosophy that rea think of it as the equivalent of the 60s “sex drugs and rock n’ roll” mindset.

There is no wrong way to have sex- the whole point is to do it consciously. But why are some people awful at sex? Why do others live lives like porn stars but don’t find sex to be satisfying? Why do men hold their breath when they cum?

I highly recommend getting this fabulous, inclusive, homo and trans saavy book on sex, and spend some quality time at the beach this summer reading it. You owe it to yourself! You are a gorgeous gorgeous being capable of great joy. How do I know this? Because I read all your fabulous comments on our forums which show you are all beautiful on the inside and out!

The podcast that just might change your life forever- Feast of Fools.

Can’t wait to hear the rest tomorrow. I am orgasmic with anticiaption. I think Glen and I should try that tub and sex noises thing.

Will you record and send it to us?

Okay. Why not?

I love listening to the joys of spiritual sex before I start working with kids. Needless to say, this show was an after work only one. Book seems cool though, I hope my library has it; though seeing a naked woman in my bookcase might give false hope for my parents. ; )

Well you can always buy it on Amazon (they have used versions of the book for low prices.)

Anal sex as “fast food” sex? You’re doing it wrong. Pursuit of anal sex is dangerous? I cringed, seriously cringed when you said that. Do we really need more energy out there making us feel that the sex we have is bad? Doesn’t our culture do enough of that? I don’t think you intended it to come off as a judgment, or to diminish the pleasure and experiences of other people, but it did.

I didn’t get any sort of message that anything we do is wrong from this show. I think what Barbara is trying to tell us is that we can get so much MORE out of sex than what we’re doing now. She isn’t putting down any sort of sexuality– she’s merely trying to get us to enjoy it more and have a better experience overall.

I enjoyed the show and am going on to listen to the next part right now.

Oh hell yes — I’m listening to the next show as soon as Marc and Fausto wrap it up (seemed like you two talked for another hour after you dumped out of Barbara). Barbara’s material is fascinating.
