My mom loves to do creative extracurricular projects. She and her gal pal Peggy Dobbins got their kimonos on and traveled to Alabama to perform in an art gallery
Check out the quirky video here. Sadly enough, they taped it after they performed it at the reception where everyone was drunk and talking over them. Poor mami!
Join me, Fausto Fernós and my mom Patricia Fernós as she returns again to answer more of your questions: What posters did I hang on the wall when he was a little kid? Were there any embarrassing photos taken of me? How did my mom try to prevent me from growing up to be a gay man?
Mom’s fascinated with the documentary “Brief History of Disbelief” which examines the psychological ties between politics and religion. It’s been recommended by my mom, so all of you should watch it! [Click here to see the whole series.]
UPDATE: Here is the MySpace page to the Sexy Mormon Men 2008 calendar.
More on Tazers marketed towards women, wrestling as a sexual fetish and why people still don’t like any of the potential US Presidential candidates.
The podcast that is just like a hot fudge sundae- lots of whipped cream, full of nuts with a cherry on top!

That profile of Patrica reminds me of a younger Bea Arthur. Though I bet if she were a Golden Girl she’d be more a Rose than a Dorothy
Gary T says:
Do you have a link for the “Men on a Mission” calendar???
Superboy says:
This video is noisy, but it’s funny to see Patricia stomping around with her friend peggy.
PupDon says:
OMG, I was just about to call everyone I knew in Chicago to see if you guys were okay. Thank God the FOF is back online. I can’t wait to hear this show!!!
SAL-E says:
I was just waiting to hear them both shout out “Quarter Turns, Quarter Turns, Quarter Turns for Everybody”
Love the Kimonos!

Patricia Fernós says:
I do apologize for the horrible sound and visual quality of Peggy’s and my performance! We had SUCH a time getting it recorded! So here are the words:
That truth be told
Crones and cronies we
Come before thee
To issue this decree
Fatole women
Wander where we’re heard
We’re herded?
No! You can’t herd me!
I heard you!
As we hear one another
We herd toward each other
Then by others-
Who listen-
We’re heard.
Full bodied
Free of fear or claim to fame
Past present future
Our power we name
Full of hope
Past joy and pain
Delphic dialiectrice
Steeped in realtiy
Listen
Look! No botox here!
We’re wise
Bold
Whole
Holy
Full
Fatole women
We proclaim
Fattah and fattah and fattah!
Ah hah!
Round and round we wander
Round and round we turn
Round and round we wander
Round and round we churn!
Fat ole women’s fatah! Ah hah!
Patricia Fernós says:
And once again! MANY THANKS for all the love and support I’ve gotten from you wonderful FOF listeners! MUA! to each and every one of you!
rick in san diego says:
Oh we love you so much, Patricia! You’re our neighborhood mom who’s house all the local kids want to hang out at for this corner of the Internet! We all get to bask in your unconditional love every time we get to hear your voice on the show. I loved the video! It reminded me of the black box Robert Ashley video performance I worked crew on in college!
Sal-E, speaking of Quarter Turns! I sent a Quarter Turns Mini Bite to Marc and Fausto twice, and it’s still not online! I’m starting to think they don’t want everyone to have Quarter Turns.
bradpitt69 says:
Thank you Patricia,
I have been struggling for years to figure out George W. Bush’s appeal. I couldn’t see what anyone likes about him personally or politicaly and you encapsulated it so succinctly. It’s a religous appeal. You sin you go to HELL! You disagree with bush you are UNPATRIOTIC.
Fausto Fernós says:
hmmm? Send it to me again Rick-
Fausto Fernós says:
My mom thinks you’re really attractive. Quarter Turns for you!
Fishsauce says:
Yay Patricia is back! I wish I were your son too =)
rick in san diego says:
Ok, Fausto, I sent it.
Thanks Patricia! I think you’re cute too, and you made some beautiful children
If you ever find yourself in San Diego I’ll make you some fish tacos with homemade roasted chipotle salsa and guacamole, with some mango margaritas to boot, and you can teach me how to make tomatillo chicken enchiladas!
RcktMan says:
I just want to state publicly that Patricia Fernos is as lovely and wonderful in person as she is on the show… Patricia, it was a honor to meet you today, and I thoroughly enjoyed having dinner with you and Fausto. I certainly can see where Fausto gets his creative energy and drive… in addition to his good looks.
Oh… and I didn’t get just one hug… I got three. Yay.
LOVE YOU, PATRICIA!!!!
Cliff Dix says:
I see where Fausto gets all his creative talent, love of people, and beautiful spirit from. Patricia, I loved your performance. Since Peggy lives here in Atlanta maybe I will see you two performing on the local scene. Thanks also for the recommendation of “A Brief History of Disbelief” I have always been interested in religion and its negative as well as positive impact in society. Can’t wait to watch it.
Much love to you all.
brain-fork says:
Great show today… Definitely going to look into “A Brief History of Disbelief.”
Hope you’re feeling better Patricia.
Boston Bob says:
Allways happy to hear from Patricia!
So glad you’re feeling better.
David-That Blue Jeans Guy-Byrd says:
Glad to hear that Patricia is getting better. I think she sounds as good as she did before the stroke. As for the occasional non sequitur, well, that also comes with being older, wiser, and not giving a sh** what people think of you.
Best wishes to the greatest mom in the Podosphere!
Maia says:
Patricia, I love your performance piece! You are officially the coolest mom ever — though I doubt that was ever in question. Thanks for posting the script; so clever, with all those double-edged words. Our favorite mother hen is pretty foxy.
Stephen says:
Hey Fausto and/or Patricia, can I get that recipe for arroz con pollo? Yummy-yummy!
NathanK says:
Great show. Love that you posted the performance and script. Very thought provoking!
