What is it with these Republicans? As you may or may not know, the list of anti-gay voting, behind the doors gay-sexing conservative Republican politicians keeps growing and growing.
Mark Foley, Larry Craig, Richard “Frankenfurter” Curtis and Mike Shallow. Shallow, a two-term City Commissioner and mayoral candidate from Florida got caught last week whoring it up in a gay sex sting inside a men’s bathroom at Sears department store. Come See the Sluttier Side of Sears!
On today’s show gay political blogger Mike Rogers, who broke the story on Senator Larry Craig comes to talk about all the gay scandals that have come out in the recent weeks. Mike Rogers closely follows the seedy underbelly of American politics and is well familiar with most politician’s back-stabbing gay shenanigans.
A line is being drawn in the sand folks: those who are for the truth and those who hide behind their lies. Lies I tells ya. Lies about human sexuality! Which side are you on?
At the time of this taping we didn’t know the results but we are happy to say that after hours of debate and lobbying the House of Representatives on Wednesday passed the Employment Non-Discrimination Act. We’re upset that the bill isn’t transexual inclusive and Mike helps us understand why and how trans-rights were removed from the bill. The bill still might get blocked by the Senate or the President. We’re hoping that Bush’s closeted gay cronies will help him get over the hump and realize that all men are indeed created equal.
Congratulations on ENDA being passed through the House of Representatives but we feel a little like Sally Field in Not Without My Daughter. We want and need to get the trans people included if we are to progress as a society. We need to offer them protection from discrimination. How?
What was really touching was to see Barney Frank speaking before the House about why this bill is important to the gay gas station attendant or the fifteen year old kid just coming into his own. Frank was very blunt about the fact that he is a man of privilege and that he doesn’t face much discrimination and that this bill really doesn’t do much for him but it is so important for the rest of society. Thank you Barney for all your hard work.

November 8, 2007 at 07:28Hi guys! I’d like to respectfully correct what Mike Rogers said about the assistant U.S attorney from Florida because, contrary to his comment, I know more than one person that followed this story, myself included.
First of all, the guy did not prosecute children’s cases. He dealt mostly in tax stuff. He was caught in a sting operation run by Detroit police. A police officer pretended to be the mother of a five year old child and arranged, over the internet, to essentially sell her daughter to him. He acted like this was the norm. It makes one pause and wonder how many sick, twisted mothers do this to their children.
When the ‘mother’ asked if he would be gentle, he said “I am always very nice, no rough stuff ever” a damning statement as it implies he’s done this before.
He showed up at the airport with a container of vaseline and a Dora the Explorer doll. He was arrested there, held in jail, and commited suicide about a week later.
He also had a creepy myspace page where he talked about loving “water sports and young girls.”
I believe all of that is pretty much accurate. If you want the full story, just google ‘pedophile detroit florida prosecutor.’
