Valentine’s Day has come a little early this year. My good friend Solitaire has stopped by today to announce the winner’s of our Valentine’s Day Massacre Photo Contest she was running on her Deviant art account. Congratulations Alan Valcarcel! Your lovely animated gif where Fausto and I get buried in hearts got the top prize in the contest! Check it out:
Coming in at a close second was Philly81, who’s montage of sexy angels made us want to die and go to heaven. From the looks of his profile pic, he’s quite a studly angel himself.
Brain-Forks’s 3rd place entry consisted of Fausto holding up a creepy oversized bloody heart, as if a giant bodybuilder, smoker or obese person had literally given up their heart for him to hold. Who’s going to clean up all that fake blood?
What a delight it was to see all the entries and a heartfelt thanks to those who submitted. Everybody who sent us something is a winner on the Feast of Fools though so please send us an email for details.
Solitaire thinks Anne Coulter is a lesbian. Now, I’ve heard Anne called just about anything-a man in dress, a tranny, the devil, a lesbian and even a drag queen sitting on a cake. But, Solitaire thinks Anne suffers from hypothyroidism and if she would just get her thyroid in control she could rent a U-Haul and settle down with a nice lady sipping a hot cup of herbal tea and not be such a right wing freak. Is there a doctor in the house? Can we get a diagnosis please.
There is a lot of talk in the news today about genetically modified plants and animals. It seems that they have finally created a genetically modified blue rose, which makes my blue-haired Fausto very happy. It seems that they haven’t been able to create a true blue rose through hybridization because roses lack the genes that produce the color blue. So, scientists grafted blue producing genes from pansies to create the first blue rose. I wonder if having some pansy genes in the roses will make them go gay. Maybe they’ll call it the “Ting a Ling” rose.
Did you know mice can’t catch colds? Neither did I until I read that some mice have been genetically engineered just to catch said cold in order to figure out a way to stop the rhinovirus, the virus that causes colds. Now, scientists can study the mice and try different treatments to get rid of one of our most common ailments. Poor mice. Someone please pass them some mini tissues.

What\’s the difference between a cello and a bass? I\’m so glad you asked. Basses are indeed larger than celli (plural of cello), but they also have steeper sloped shoulders to help the bassist shift to higher hand positions. This is particularly useful since due its size, one cannot play as many pitches without having to move the hand. Also, basses are tuned in fourths as opposed to violins, violas, and celli which are all tuned in fifths. Lastly, bassists have the option of playing with a german bow where the right hand is perpendicular to the bow instead of on top of it.

Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Bing Crosby and Judy Garland. Heck, even Rosie O\’Donnell and Dolly Parton have had roses named for them! Maybe the new Blue rose should be named after Feast of Fools? Seems appropriate to me…
I really enjoyed Solitaire on today\’s show. It\’s been a while since she\’s been on! I love her voice and will be purchasing her album shortly!

Marc, I’m sorry I didn\’t have you in the photo. I planned out two different Valentines, one for each of you, but the Fausto one turned out better. I also had a third idea that would have had you holding Fausto\’s disembodied head (from the picture where he\’s wrapped in the pink boa), but I couldn\’t relate that back to Valentine\’s day very well. It\’s good to know you\’re watching me though
