Kennidi just won’t eat her vegetables. Why not? Every trans-gal needs to get her green on. Most veggies have estrogenic properties, which ultimately help both men and women maintain a healthy balance inside and out.
Eating a plate of watercress isn’t going to give you boobs or put hair on your chest- vegetables just have a great ability to help the body balance itself hormonally and ultimately get you to where you want to go.
On today’s show Kennidi Monroe comes to share some of her insights in learning how to nuture yourself and embrace the beautiful diva that lives deep inside of you.
You might remember Kennidi from her infamous video of all of us breaking in backstage into the 2008 Miss Continental Plus pageant winner’s suitcase to horse around with her 12-inch-tall-tiara, a HUGE taboo among Chicago drag queens.
Meanwhile in jolly-old England a wayward parrot is actually teaching other birds to cuss, probably because parrots can be like drag queens and enjoy the attention they get from hurling insults at people. Think about it. Macaws have more in common with that Mariah Carey impersonator than you think. Only next time you approach one, make sure you have a dollar bill in your hand instead of a cracker.
Would you wear a t-shirt that sported the words “I WAS RAPED?”
Activist and t-shirt artist Jennifer Baumgardner has started selling pale pink t-shirts with the words “I was raped” written on a drawing of a card inside a safe. You can buy your’s here at her website Scarleteen.com.
Although the t-shirt could help women (and men) help to heal from the shame and humiliation of being sexually violated, I’m not sure that many people would feel comfortable in sporting this controversial statement. Do you think a more affirming message like- “I Survived being Raped” or “Start the Healing” would be better? It’s not as gutsy, that’s for sure. Why are so many blogs and even the New York Times not linking back to the page where people can actually buy the t-shirt and make a difference?
Kennidi makes no bones about being molested as a child, and we asked her if she would wear a t-shirt that said “I WAS MOLESTED” as a way of raising awareness on the issue.
Listen as we talk with Kennidi about the possibility of all the 2008 U.S. Presidential candidates being trannies, the reluctant town of Lunt who wishes it had a different name and the cursed heart that finally stopped beating.
Always full of sweet, nutricious juice- Feast of Fools.
