We are joined by two creative visionaries living in Chicago, Carlos Torres, a DJ and electronic music producer and Creative Director and Music Editor for Fluxcore online magazine and Sadie Woods, musician and Editor-In-Chief for Fluxcore.
Carlos and Sadie are here to promote Rock The Future:A Rock For Kids Benefit at Debonair Social Club on June 19, 2008. get your tickets now for what appears to be a fun and super hip event. The party will feature lots of hot bands and DJs and a video montage of kooky toys. that event will befit Rock for Kids which provides support, inspiration and assistance to children and their families to positively impact and celebrate young lives through the joy of music.
Listen as we find out how DJ’s make the music we all want to dance to.
We discuss free speech and art as Ira Isaacs goes to trial on obscenity charges for producing what his very own lawyer claims is very disgusting art. What is in question is to what extend do we allow free speech and how do we decide what is a punishable crime. His lawyer argues that no matter how gross his work is, it has merit or therapeutic value to someone somewhere.
The trial is having a hard time finding jurors to sit on the jury as most of them are repulsed by the the awful depictions of human degradation. Some potential jurists have even said that they would vomit if they had to sit for the trial.
Baby Makin Aiken! Clay Aiken is expecting his baby in August with his 50 year old music producer Jaymes, a woman. It is now confirmed and he even syas he has more embryos in storage for future pregnancies. I think Clay will now have a new career as a stud for the Claymates. Just imagine a whole new progeny from his fire crotch loins. You know they say that one in two hundred men on the planet is related to Ghengis Khan. Maybe someday our descendants will be able to trace their lineage back to the Baby Makin’ Aiken.
