ScootyandJoJo-iTunesThey met nine years ago and today, like us, spend their time working, laughing and creating together.

On today’s show, Scott Bradley and Jonny Stax, the real-life gay couple behind the Scooty and JoJo show, join us to talk about being one of Chicago’s trashiest, campiest and funniest entertainment companies around.

Listen as Johnny and Scott talk about creating the Carpenter’s Halloween Special, Tran the Atari Musical and Mollywood the Musical. We joke with the duo that they create their shows from 80s mad libs or mixed up piles of Trivial Pursuit.

Evolution of our t-shirt design, from 2003 to 2008We met Jonny Stax about four years ago at one of our last pre-podcast shows we did at Schubas, where he haggled with a woman for a purple Feast of Fools t-shirt that we gave away from the stage. The t-shirt didn’t even have the “.net” added to it to refer to the website.

I remember making this t-shirt with Marc and how good we thought the colors looked together. It looked like a little Mardi Gras. It’s so nice to see our baby come home for a visit! These t-shirts do hold up against time, so you know that they will hold up at least four years down the road.

Will Smith gives David Letterman a little peck on the lipsDid you check out Will Smith and David Letterman’s same sex kiss? The hunky actor dazzled the late night talk show host Monday when we went on to promote his new film, when all of a sudden the two men found themselves kissing each other.

Will Smith must be making up for taking the bad advice of homophobe actor Denzel Washington to not do a gay kiss in the film “Six Degrees of Seperation” despite the gay kiss being crucial to the plot. And poor Paul Schaffer will just have to play the keyboards alone tonight.

Also- pink doggie poop, God the Florida black guy who just loves cocaine and bad internet domain names (in the comments section.)

We welcome our new advertiser Big Jones Restaurant into the fold, be sure to check them out for dinner or drinks, you won’t be disappointed. I especially love their strawberry lemonade cocktails made with fresh mint. Yum.

Today’s your lucky day- no matter how you roll the dice, you always get the Feast of Fools.

Bad Domain Names

All of these are companies that didn’t spend quite enough time considering how their online names might appear - and be misread…

1. Who Represents is where you can find the name of the agent that represents any celebrity. Their Web site is http://www.whorepresents.com/

2. Experts Exchange is a knowledge base where programmers can exchange Advice and views at http://www.expertsexchange.com/

3. Looking for a pen? Look no further than Pen Island at http://www.penisland.net/

4. Need a therapist? Try Therapist Finder at http://www.therapistfinder.com/

5. There’s the Italian Power Generator company, http://www.powergenitalia.com/

6. And don’t forget the Mole Station Native Nursery in New South Wales,
http://www.molestationnursery.com/

7. If you’re looking for IP computer software, there’s always http://www.ipanywhere.com/

8. The First Cumming Methodist Church Web site is http://www.cummingfirst.com/

9. And the designers at Speed of Art await you at their wacky Web site,

Thanks for the welcome, guys - the ad art looks great! I would love to meet any listeners who visit Big Jones — please grab me and say Hi — I’m there on and off during weekends and evenings. Meeting new people is the best part of opening a restaurant!

p.s. my favorite URL up there is powergenitalia.com!

Thanks for clearing up that “myth” about Richard Gere, I always thought the claws would get in the way as well. I mean hell my cat freaks out for no reason at all so I could just imagine how frantic a gerbil would be.

And yes, to clear the record, I do not enjoy picking up dog poop in the summer. Winter is better because you at least have gloves on, but then it’s steaming which is just as gross!

So when are we going to Big Jones for Brunch?

I love gay power couples like Scott and Jonny who get to have fun and work together all day. It is always a pleasant treat to hear someone who is loving life and what they are doing and getting to do it with the one they love. I would love to see their shows. I watched snatches of the Carpenter’s Halloween on YouTube. Hilarious stuff. Maybe a touring company of the Scooty & JoJo Show should head down south or maybe Glen and I should haul our asses back up to Chicago. Maybe stop by Big Jones while we are there.

Hey Fausto, I eat everyday, so let’s go! I need to get my Sweet Tea fix on…..

When’s a good time for you Michael?

This weekend might be too busy… but we can make the time!

What a fun show! I am ashamed to say I haven’t made any of Scooty and JoJo’s shows yet– but if they do that Carpenters show again this Halloween you can bet I’ll be there. BIG TIME Carpenters fan here. :)

Would love to go back to Big Jones- that strawberry lemonade mint cocktail is SO YUMMY!!! And so refreshing! Yum!

I’ve eaten already at Big Jones several times, and as a guy who’s lived for many years in New Orleans, I can say they have some of the best gumbo in town.

On the David and Will Smith kiss, who cares? It would be news if Richard Simmons and David kissed each other. Leave it up to Will Smith to kiss a guy on television and have nobody think anything of it.

It’s like a cherry whipped cream orgazm in your hear!!! Love the great work guys, keep it up!

Great show guys! Big fan of Scooty & JoJo, FOF. I love the new Big Jones commericial too. A masterpiece!

Thanks for such a great time, you guys. And I love Cliff Dix’s idea of a tour of Halloween. You can’t go wrong with the Carpenters. Well, John did put out some bad movies (did you see Village of the Damned?!). Will be posting clips from Mollywood in the coming month. Gotta have our summer vacation!
