Greetings from Camp Fabulous - join us for Summer Camp on the Feast of Fools podcastPull out your marshmallows, get your weenies ready and make yourself comfy ’round the ole campfire because we’re going to summer camp!

Tracy Tyler joins us once again on today’s show as we share some fond memories and also traumatic experiences of summer camp.

Listen as we talk about sexy ghost stories, strange erotic experiences and the unrequited romances of our teenage years. Did you go to summer camp? We want to hear your stories too so please comment on the site and share your tales.

Can watermelon replace Viagra? Citrulline which is found in the flesh and rind of watermelons, reacts with the body’s enzymes when consumed in large quantities and is changed into arginine, an amino acid that benefits the circulatory and immune systems.

The arginine boosts nitric oxide, which relaxes blood vessels and provides the same basic effect as Viagra. We’re not sure exactly how much watermelon you will have to eat to get the effect but we went ahead and bought a few just to have on hand.

I’m not sure about this one, but a new trend in fashion panties is a back door window. We’re not sure if it functions as a sex lure or it’s just a vent for farts. But we really wonder when it will enter into gay men’s fashion? Oh wait, it already has- the jockstrap!

Why bother to wear clothes at all when you can be “SKY CLAD.” Sky clad, get it? It took me a second to understand that sky clad meant nude in a sign at a clothing optional camp we attended this past weekend. Did we get naked? Only to go into the jacuzzi.

If you’re happy and you know it, you’re probably listening to the Feast of Fools!

Martinicast poster for the Feast of FoolsDrink Responsibly? You always hear those words of concern by liquor companies in ads, but we’re not sure what they mean by that. For many GLBT folks, our role with alcohol is a complex one, where bars bring us together, but for some the consumption of alcohol can ruin their lives.

How can we all have a healthier relationship with alcohol? How can we talk about drinking without pointing fingers?

Join me Fausto Fernós and Marc Felion and LifeLube, Project CRYSP, and the Chicago Task Force on LGBT Substance Use and Abuse at Sidetrack as we ponder these important topics in an alcohol friendly environment. Did I mention they serve purple slushy drinks? Yum.

Seating is limited please RSVP by clicking here.

Cat themed songs… http://www.best-cat-art.com/songs-about-cats.html

Cant forget “Smelly Cat” from the tv show “FRIENDS”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETQfuzNGT58

Great show yall. Glad I could provide the ghost stories for the fire side chat. Good to hear Tracy again so soon! I love her!!! Lots of Love!
Matt

OMG! Right after posting the above comment I found a music video of Pheobe from the show FRIENDS singing the “Smelly Cat” song its hilarious and oh so 90’s MTV. Check it out… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNXIZuIBJKs&feature=related

How come my version of the show today was only 8 minutes long?

You could try “Cat Scratch Fever” or “Year of the Cat” Really fun show today.

I’m so jealous, I never went to summer camp as a kid, we had to work in the fields - ah the joys of growing up on a farm. Although we did used to go camping a lot as a family and I do have some good true life ghost stories!

As for a cow in a sling, I doubt that they’re on their backs - that’s just creepy : -)

Didn’t Paula Abdul do a song about a cat, she had that animated video where she danced around with one.

Not sure about the 8 minute problem Robbie. Anyone else got this? I think maybe your internet might have gone down temporarily and cut off the download. Try un-subscribing without deleting your files, then subscribing again. That usually does the trick.

Good luck with the reality TV show!. Can’t wait to hear more about it. I’m on pins and needles.

tracy forget to talk about the ghosts that were in the old house she used to live in.it was more then isis the cat haunting the house :)

When the fire got out of control, I spit out a Flamin’ Hot Cheeto.

I agree, that was the funniest part of the show for me.

I never went to summer camp, usually traveled with my family.

Also agree, the funniest part was when the fire went out of control.

It is not a cat themed song but how about this song for Tracy`s repertoire ?

here is the link:

Chinacat Sunflower!!

Ooooh A double-dose of Tracy! I can’t wait to hear it.

Looks like everyone’s talking about cat-related songs. I would be remiss if I didn’t include “The Cat Song” by Amy Armstrong: http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=37164958

I want Tracy to sing Highway to Hell at my funeral. Followed by Free Bird! I am going to have beer cozies made up with my name and dates on it so you can keep your PBR cold.

Tying two themes together… I remember singing a song at 6th-grade camp entitled “The Cat Came Back the Very Next Day”! It was a funny story-song about people trying to get rid of this ugly cat, but it always returned (much to their chagrin!).

there is a good cat song, its by sparks. Its called Here Kitty. Its a riot.

Holy crap this was a funny show. The fire burning out of control, the cat-song-montage… you all had me laughing so hard I think my neighbors are gonna kill me.

I’m glad now that I posted that link to The Cat Song - it’d be perfect for you, Tracy. It’s so funny- and raunchy!

Me raunchy????? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well I never …………….

Henrietta Chicken rocks! I cannot get enough of her! Henrietta for president!

“At night, we could her the old lady fiddling with her stuff in the kitchen…” - Fausto
“You mean she was in the kitchen masturbating?” - Marc

Best line ever.

What’s the one that’s like “pussy cat, pussy cat i’ve got flowers and lots of hours to spend with you!”. And omg can I just say that Tracy had me ROLLING in this episode! Girl, you are too much! I mean, the story about the hammer was hilarious and then I was dying when she screamed during the ghost story. That was too funny.

Here is the S’Mores Cocktail we promised:

I Want S’More
(by Diane Nemitz, via Baileys)
1 small scoop vanilla ice cream
1 oz Baileys Caramel
1 plain/honey graham cracker
2 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
3 mini marshmallows/1 large marshmallow, halved

In a small heatproof glass, top a small scoop of high-quality vanilla ice cream with 1-oz. Bailey’s Caramel.
Crush graham cracker and combined with sugar and cinnamon. Pour over top of drink and top with marshmallows. Use a small kitchen torch to caramelize the marshmallows. Serve immediate with a spoon.

If you are more of a traditionalist and want to keep the classic flavor profile of a s’more intact, forget the Bailey’s and use a chocolate liqueur, like Godiva instead!

Tracy, the camp that you mentioned sounds like Camp Palmer. I grew up in NW Ohio and went there for 4-H camp for 3 years as a counselor.
