Marc Felion and Adam GuerinoNone of us really believe in astrology. The thought that a planets or stars’ location at the time of our birth has any relevance on who we are and what the future holds is far fetched to say the least.

We had an astrologer on the show way back in March of 2006 and he was probably the most reviled guests we have ever had on the show. Yes, even more so than the Gay Republican. We sometimes repost the show just because the people’s reaction was to him was so bad and it’s a joy to read the comments.

That said, we love parties that are out of this world and a Zodiac Wine Tasting seems like the perfect summer event! If it’s fun, we are into it, no matter what the premise may be.

Alpana Singh and Jason SteeleOur friend Alpana Singh suggests that your zodiac sign might be a good place to look to when deciding what kind of wine you might enjoy. So, if you are like me and you are an Aries, you may enjoy a nice Shiraz. Aries are very impatient and impulsive so they want a great wine that they don’t have to wait around for while it matures.

Upon reading our own astrological wine chart, we all thought the recommendations were spot on! I love Shiraz red wine and Alpana’s chart that matched wines to our zodiac sign was spot on every time.

Marc got all into it and is so excited he also wants to match his moon sign, which shows your inner world and emotions and rising sign which shows your personality or mask. I think he’s just coming up with more excuses to drink more.

Adam, Mar, Collin and Fausto on the Rooftop at Center on HalstedWhat’s the right wine for your sign? Well, you’ll have to come to the M Network at the Center on Halsted on Aug 4 from 6-9PM for a Zodiac Wine Tasting with the host of WTTW’s “Check Please!” and Master Sommelier, ALPANA SINGH. It’s $20 for the wine and the food is generously prepared by our friends at Big Jones. Yummy!

RSVP NOW to culture@centeronhalsted.org

On today’s show comedian Adam Guerino joins us to talk about an awkward comedy moment he had at the M-Network kick off event and how he handles when some people in the audience can’t handle his material.

Listen as we talk about weird Asian deserts, Barak Obama fever and moments of mistaken identity.

German CopHere’s a news item taken right out of a scene from the TV show The Simpsons. German police officers busted a all-girl party, but were mistaken for male dancers! No one ordered strippers for the birthday celebration but when two cops arrived after midnight to quiet down the party they quickly found themselves greeted by a round of applause. The revelers thought they were a surprise and who can blame them? Most German cops are in great shape and look stunning in uniform. Woof!

Japan Eel DrinkEel-flavored soda is now a big hit in Japan, rivaling sales of last years summer offerings- cucumber flavored Pepsi and Salad flavored Coca Cola. The beverage tastes like broiled eels and contains eel extracts. Japanese believe that eels boost energy during the heat and humidity of the summer.

Note from Marc: This is not for the faint of heart
but it does involve an animal head.

O-M-G! I just started the show and heard me? lol Totally wasn’t expecting that, thanks for playing the voicemail guys. :D lol Cant wait to hear this one, I love my Zodiac! Libras rule!!!

Great show! Loved the cute little fighting. Had me saying, “Ladies, Ladies, come on now were all big girls…” Loved it! Well I dont let my Zodiac rule my life. But it is uncanny how much I do resemble my profile as a libra. My moon sign is Libra, my rising sign is Aquarius, and my Chineese Zodiac is the Dragon! RAAAWWRRRR lol There actually is a 13th zodiac. I’m gonna look up the article and come back and post it in a bit. Right now though I’m laying down, stayed up all night painting and listening to the Feast of Fools! its great to listen to while painting. :) Welp, I’m off to bed. Great show ya’ll!

Thanks for having me on, guys! Had fun!

The wine tasting with Alpana sounds like a blast! It’s on an auspicious day, too — the day I arrived on the planet. (I am Leo, hear me roar.) Have fun getting your astrologically-appropriate drink on… I’m afraid I won’t be there because I’ll be pimping the birthday angle for a fancy dinner out.

I love it when you have Adam on the show — both of him are hilarious!

I’m Libra - what’s my wine?

<3<3<3 u guys!

I’m an Aquarius too. Never had Grenache… definitely need to get some!

Support for Obama keeps coming up on the show, so I feel compelled to comment. I’ve made this same statement in other forums but it still holds true, I believe. You would think that Obama of all people would recognize the stigma of separate-but-equal, yet this continues to be his stance on one segment of the American population. He’s allegedly for full gay civil rights, except calling our legal partnerships ‘marriage’. Don’t get me wrong. I understand the political strategy of this position and I’ll be voting for Obama come November. However, I can’t get on-board the ‘Obama bus’ with the rest of the fervent and adoring masses because I personally don’t want to sit at the back of it. It’s disappointing to me that he’s not actually standing up to be the complete and total messianic redeemer everybody is trying to paint him as. Everyone keeps talking about Obama in relation to history but it’s the trailblazers who stand up ~fully~ for social justice in the face of popular opinion whose legacies reverberate through time, not just those who set some sort of arbitrary milestone for being the ‘first’ because of an inherent physical characteristic, such as the color of their skin.

Fun show as usual guys and Adam you are soooo damn beautiful that i hate you now hahaha :oP

What a fun show! And a thunderstorm, too! Can’t beat that with a broom handle. Adam is sexy and fun to listen to… and you can tell him I said that. Well, I guess you wont’ have to, I’m sure he’ll see that.

Anwyway.

I’m a Sagittarius and I have no idea what my wine would be … sadly, I can’t make it on Monday to find out– unless I show up late. Darn. I really wanted to meet Alpana!!! Will you guys be out and about afterward? I could join up with you then…

I really enjoyed the banter between you guys. I can tell you guys had a great time!

Marc is still the king of hunks on the FOF.

(God why does Internet Explorer suck. It didn’t let me comment properly, might be homophobic)

Adam, I loved the rape joke. It was not as harsh as I thought it was going to be when “rape” was mentioned.

Hey, guys!!! Loved the show!

I´m also a gemini and I loved to hear a little bit about my “astrological features” and my wine.
I also like hearing Adam again on the show… He´s so funny, smart and cute… and has a lovely, tinglely voice as well… not to say he´s damm HOT!.

Just keep up with the amazing work y’all been doing!

Kisses!

Hello. And Bye.

You guys should get Alpana on the show again with more wine talk :D
And Adam is so hot!!!
