The Shaker Sisters on the Feast of FoolsWe’ve got the Shaker Sisters today- Robyn Monks and Jen Zias, join us to talk about their debut album All Night Through- a fabulous collection of country and pop songs about the trials and tribulations of being a woman, or a gay guy.

Christmas in July comes but once a year or does it? Robyn shares with us her tale of her recovery from sex, drugs and booze. OK, it seems she never recovered from the sex part and we like that! But she’s been sober for a number of years now.

Things for her got out of control when she stayed up one night and decorated her apartment for Christmas. Christmas in July may seem like a good idea when your fueled by booze and drugs but when you sober up and see your house decorated in expectation of the arrival of Old St. Nick you began to reconsider your life.

You can check out the Shaker Sisters at Fitzgerald’s in Berwyn on Wednesday August 13.

The Indian Bible draws controversy
from everybody, imagine that! the new Bible depicts Jesus, Mary and Joseph as poor Indian villagers. Mary wears a sari and has a bindi on her forehead and Joseph sports a turban and loincloth. Sadly, Jesus does not have eight arms or an elephant trunk for a nose. The Catholic Churchissued the new Bible to make it more accessible to Indians. Some Christians criticize the new Bible because they feel it doesn’t truly reflect Biblical truths.

Flying dog poop sculpture draws controversy from everybody, imagine that! The creation of American artist Paul McCarthy flew off in a gust of wind and ran into a greenhouse and a power line. The unusual art piece had a safety mechanism that would deflate it in case of bad weather but it somehow failed.

We’re in Vegas everybody! Vegas Vegas Vegas! We chat with Jen and Robyn about favorite places, people and things to do in the City of Sin, which we’ve now renamed the City of Hope.

Remember people, whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, except those STD’s you picked up, so please, use a condom.

They call the show “O” because it’s a homonym for the French word for water: eau.

And India totally has nukes. Hope you’re having a great time in the Vegas!

Fausto I really hate to bust your bubble but the guys in ‘American Storm’ and ‘Thunder from Down Under’ are all straight. My friend is the producer for the shows, gay men cause too many issues in the dressing room.

Either way, you’ll enjoy yourself, the smoking isn’t bad, they circulate the air REALLY well.

How is that gonna burst my bubble? That may stop you but I got skills.

Ha ha ha, well one of the Thunder guys dances at Krave too…. that’s your start!

Give me an inch and I’ll take it all.

I really enjoyed this show. I just can’t get enough of Ms. Jen. What a down to earth gal.

Fausto and Mark,
Thanks for the daily fun show. The other day you guys didn’t know it seems that none of you kew what the word “capella”, from the expression “a capella” which is singing without instruments mean. It means small church and it’s probably where the expression comes from : singing as if you would be singing in a church, in pure absolute silence with only the reverberation of the singer’s voice.
I love you guys!
