Christmas music connects us to a sense of childhood wonder bot it can also drive us mad!
On today’s special eggnog flavored Feast of Fools we’re taking you sleigh ride of crazy as we play for you some of the most insane, scary, offensive and over the top Christmas themed music.
We’ve got singing animals, fascist robots who want to wish you a merry Christmas, music by homeless people, drag queens, people who want to have sex with Santa and songs about why we love to be miserable during the holidays.
Also joining us to celebrate the bizarre Christmas music is our good pal, blogger Rick the Rocketman Aiello. He’s blogged about Christmas music people actually enjoy, so I thought it might be fun to hear him react to our F-list collection of music.
This show is not for children. It’s mostly in poor taste, but the second half gets a little raunchy, so please don’t let kids listen to the second half of the show.
If you’re looking for a good, cheap holiday last minute gift, why not buy all the music featured here and make a trashy Christmas mix CD for your friend?
This is our last live recorded show of the year, but we’ll still be posting regularly on the site lots of yummy goodies and classic podcast episodes you’ve probably forgotten about, or never heard. Thank you for a great 2008!

Oh you boys, bookending your holiday show with stories about jingle bells and fisting! You always teach us something new.
Loved the songs, especially the “don’t steal for us this Christmas”.
Merry Christmas!
Michael says:
sorry, hit enter to soon….love when you have Rick on - he’s so full of that music knowledge!
nite in shining armour says:
Come on now. How can any christmas song be bad?
RcktMan says:
I think next year we need to get a hold of this treasure:
RcktMan says:
I watched the Star Wars Christmas Special last night (for as long as I could stay awake), and whoever posted it not only got the whole program, but they left the commercials, too! It’s worth watching just to see those!!!!
I had such a great time last night. Thanks, guys, for having me on again. Love you and Happy Holidays to you and everyone else!
RcktMan says:
Nite, I don’t think we mean “Bad” as in “Oh my God, that SUCKS,” I think we mean “Bad” as in, “So bad it’s GOOD!”
Besides, who couldn’t use a laugh or two (or three) during the holidays?
Jamie says:
I LOVE you guys. Only your show would end a Holiday Special with Fisting. Happy Holidays!
Rhea says:
The one song with the spoken word parts… wow. Wow.
Christian83 says:
I always love your special Christmas show. My favourite is “Mom & Daddy, Please Don’t Steal For Me This Xmas”.
Merry Christmas!
Alex says:
Mom & Daddy, Please Don’t Steal for me this Christmas is some QUALITY! I was dying. And they play that hippopotamus song plays on the radio all the time here. The way that girl sounds reminds me of that lady who always played the witch in Disney movies in the 90s. I think she was in Escape to Witch Mountain or something. Does anyone know who I’m talking about? Anyway, this is another good one that reveals the true feelings about the holidays.

Michael says:
We were just talking about Witch Mountain last night - you know they’re doing a remake.
Bette Davis was in Escape to Witch Mountain - is that who you mean? She looked like a witch then.
Kieran says:
Hedda Lettuce and Jackie were superb. The little girl singing sounded like a demon but really good supermarket music.
Just after I listened to this I heard of murderer Santa in LA and Earth Kitt’s death, famous for her Santa song. What a day!
Bologna says:
Hi Fausto and Marc,
Merry Xmas, Feliz Navidad, Buon Natale, Joyeux Noel, etc etc. I’m stuck in the middle of France with nothing but champagne, foie gras, and the FOF. Thanks for giving me a reason to use my ears this holiday season. On a sad note, Eartha Kitt passed away http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7799852.stm
Perhaps the FOF could do a tribute?
Lots of love from Aurec Sur Loire (believe it or not, this goddamn place is twinned with Sunset, Louisiana - no Cajun cooking here tho)
Alex says:
Michael - No way! That’s nuts that they’re doing a remake. Who’s going to be in it? I bet it won’t be nearly as terrible as the original. Well, I shouldn’t say terrible because I definitely loved it. I realize that that woman wasn’t in escape to witch mountain. I really can’t put my finger on what movie she’s in. It wasn’t Bette Davis because she was a real little person. Maybe it was teen witch? All I remember is in this one scene the girl who’s the up and coming witch or secret teen witch or what have you is in her room and she put a pink lampshade on the lamps because a boy is coming over.
Alex says:
There she is! She’s in this video!
Michael says:
@Alex - That’s Zelda Rubenstein - from Poltergiest “This house is clean”
Race to Witch Mountain is starring Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock) and a couple of kids I’ve never heard of before….but apparently the original Tony and Tia are making cameos in this so it will be cool to see them.
Alex says:
To Michael - Oh no, the Rock is doing another kid’s movie? I hope he does it justice. It’ll be interesting to see how much, if any, of it they change to be more modern.
Marc Felion says:
I hope they keep the purse. I’m not a tranny but I loved her little purse with the secret map.
I guess you can watch it all on youtube

I’m a new listener, and already a fan. Thanks for the tragic holiday cheer. But you missed what I think is the worst christmas song ever! It was in the mix one holiday season whilst i was working at a gay little boutique here in Minneapolis, and every time it came on, I both wanted to poke my eyes out, and couldn’t stop laughing. It’s called The Cat’s Carol, and it’s about a cat and a mouse who befriend each other, and then find themselves stuck in the snow, so the mouse cuddles into the cat and then the cat freezes to death. And then Santa finds them and thinks the cat was so kind, so brings him back to life. Magic. Pure holiday magic.
Thanks, again!
Marc Felion says:
Never heard of it. We’ll put it on the list for next year! Thanks.
The Administrator says:
Do you have a link to the song Brian? Would love to hear it!? Is it on iTunes?
Stephen says:
Ok so Im a little late catching up on all my FOF because of the holidays, and I finally listened to this episode. I was on the train in Boston and I was laughing the entire way home! And when the mommy and daddy dont steal for me this xmas came out, I busted a gut. I was in tears and just covering my face trying not to laugh so hard. I had so many strange looks because people were probably wondering if I was laughing for crying! Thanks for another great show, you guys are the absolute best. Hope you guys had a great christmas and an awesome new year.
