Tracy Tyler is confused. She can’t seem to figure out what song to sing for Good Friday. And for that matter, just WHEN is Good Friday anyways? Tuesday? Saturday? Friday? That sounds just too obvious.
Seriously, our gal pal is stumped. She wants to find the perfect song to impress her congregation of the Brighter Tomorrow. It’s a kind of Unitarian I think, so it needs to be an all-purpose song that will inspire the congregation yet at the same time deliver the message of springtime renewal.
“Amazing Grace” is tired, “For the Beauty of the Earth” is way too Christian and nothing else comes to mind except “Swing Low Sweet Chariot.”
Any ideas? Should she sing the theme to the TV show “Good Times” or what?
Join Marc Felion, Tracy Tyler and me Fausto Fernós as we talk about dark humor and the mortal peril of children. We hear about some truly awful but somewhat amusing real-life stories about children who met their untimely death.

Before you crucify me for finding it amusing the perils of children’s lives, please consider the works of Charles Dickens, Lewis Caroll, Charles Addams or Edward Gorey. The first two were Victorian-Era writers who worked in some truly horrible tales of calamity and woe upon the lives of children and the second two inspired by the era created sophisticated cartoons about terrible things happening to young kids.
“J is for James who took lye by mistake.”
Also, shopping for the right bargains at Target and how to put a fresh clean scent into your dirty laundry.
