What a voice, what a fabulous gal!
On today’s show we Jen Porter, Chicago’s soulful diva rocking the house, singing songs of celebration, acceptance and healing.
Although we have much to celebrate, California, Arkansas, Florida and Arizona all passed measures severely limiting same-sex loving folks the same rights that everyone else takes for granted. That puts a couple of off-key notes in what would have otherwise been a fabulous election night.
Jen’s been living off and on in the Caribbean, entertaining tourists and locals alike in piano bars near the sandy beaches of St. Martin and Aruba. Jen plays all over Chicagoland but you might want to check her out at Evanston Space for a special evening of Acoustic Chicago on Wednesday November 26, 2008.
On Tuesday’s election night, Jen was hammering away on the piano in the recording studio, working hard to put out her new album “Clever Compromise.” On today’s show, Jen debuts three never-heard before songs from this new album.
