This beautifully colored drink is delicious to sip on. The Dragon Fruit or Pitahaya replaces the cranberry juice in this alternative to the traditional Cosmopolitan. With its fuchsia-pink skin and scales, this pitaya fruit is in fact a cactus fruit and is unlike any other fruit in appearance.
It’s sort of the drag queen of fruits with all its frills and exotic taste. Cut it in half to reveal the opaque white or red to purple flesh dotted with small black seeds which look like black sesame seeds.
The flower is so beautiful that it is sometimes nicknamed “Noblewoman.” Its flower in full bloom is like a beautiful ornamental orchid cactus that blooms only on the 1st and 15th day of the lunar calendar. How lesbian is that? Tying your flowering to the moon cycles.
I found the frozen Pitahaya fruit pulp at the my local produce store. If your lucky enough to get the fresh Dragon Fruit, which can be found in Vietnamese groceries, garnish the drink with a piece of the fruit, otherwise garnish with lime or lemon twist.

4 parts Any Citrus or Blackberry Flavored Vodka
2 parts Cointreau or Triple Sec

very fun show today
i was, as usual, snickering on my walk to the metro, on the metro, then to work as well.
newsflash!
when i was on the metro escalator i saw a woman who in profile looked similar to Claire, the cheerleader on Heroes. i almost asked her if i could take a picture of her in profile.
and funny that that came up again in my mind because when i was at murky coffee on saturday there was a monochromatic woman who i really wanted to take the picture of to.
