Splashy, sexy, and naked, New York’s Dazzle Dancers are celebrating 10 provocative years with this semi-nautical stunner. Among the foxy multitude are “Underminer” author Mike Albo and Viva Ruiz, who directed the groundbreaking alterna-novela Rosa Negra. “The Love Boat” video was launched at a gala event at Soho’s Deitch Projects in July, but hardly anyone could get in—not even the Lady Bunny herself! —JQS

I just saw them perform for the first time in May at a fabulous benefit for Circus Amok at P.S. 122 in NYC… too bad they keep all their g-strings and thongs on in the video!!! But it’s colorful and glittery the way they are…. (there was a lot of nudity in the performance I saw!). Bye, Mr. John Q……!!!!!
John Q Sanchez lives in Brooklyn, New York. He went to art school with
Fausto Fernós in the mid-90s in Chicago where he wrote for local
publications including Babble, edited by Jim Pickett. He's worked at
several high-profile magazines in New York and was an editor for the
web-zine Blair. He's fascinated by oddball divas, bombastic child
stars, and the everyday person capturing their unique performances for
