“Angie” Opener: Philadelphia Sitcom

By John Q. Sanchez on March 7, 2008 | Share & Save | Link | Print |

Have you heard the news? Fausto and Marc are coming to Philadelphia! Celebrate by spending a moment with Angie, the gutsy Philly waitress with a rich doctor husband and snooty new relatives. Though the clip is short, it’s got two incidents of sploshing and other food-on-human scenarios. And, some birds poop on Angie’s mean sister in law. Ha!

Somewhat related: A fan-made photo montage of Orlando Bloom, set to the “Angie” theme song, “Different Worlds,” by Maureen McGovern.

Wow….that brings me back to when I was a kid. That\’s a long theme song…theme songs today are too damn short. What are kids today going to look back and remember?

Sorry I\’m waaay down in Florida guys and won\’t get to meet you…

I LOVE THAT SONG!!! And I remember watching that show too!

Mark, you\’re so right. What happened to the great theme songs of the 70s and 80s? TV just sucks now when it comes to things like that.

John Q Sanchez is da bomb!

OMG I LOVED ANGIE!!!!!!! I haven\’t heard that song let alone even remembered that show in years! Thanks guys, what a frakkin blast from the past! I need to have that show on DVD….

I remember we watched Angie and bits from the title sequence, but I don\’t remember the theme song at all.

I liked the photo montage very much. I wish I could be famous so someone would scan my photos and set them to music. I wonder what TV show theme song they would pick for me…. The Odd Couple?
