The Fantastic Miss Piggy!

It’s no secret that Miss Piggy is someone very, very special. But did you know that she once had her own TV special? Now THAT is SPECIAL!

This 1982 special starring the fantastic Miss Piggy, voiced by the amazing Frank Oz, is called “The Fantastic Miss Piggy Show!”

The show had it all: Miss Piggy sings. Miss Piggy dances. Miss Piggy gets lowered in a pink bubble like Glinda the Good Witch in the Wizard of OZ. It’s fabulous. It’s gay. It’s glamorous. It’s hysterical! I suspect that many a budding drag queen saw this and was immediately inspired.

I am posting her opening number, “There’ll Be Some Changes Made Today,” in honor of the new and improved Feast of Fools website!

And the piéce de resistance is Piss Miggy.. er.. Miss Piggy performing Gloria Gaynor’s disco classic “I Will Survive.” Miss Piggy has survived quite well and so has the Feast of Fools. Happy Birthday, Feast of Fools!

lol! Piss Miggy.

Was this like a spin-off series or a just a one-time special?

I think it was just a one-time event. She could have handled a show of her own, though, if you ask me!

I think I might of seen this as a kid but it was on late and I wasn’t able to watch the whole thing. Miss Piggy was the shiznit! I liked it best when she walked and her hair bounced - Like a Breck girl!

I love Miss Piggy! I’ve always been a huge Muppets fan. Henson will never be topped! (sorry Avenue Q fans ;-] )

Miss Piggy is a drag queen for children. As a kid, I had a huge poster in my room of her dressed as a beauty queen. GAY!!!

too fabulous…so 70s/80s glamorous…and you just know miss piggy partied with liza at studio 54.

White spandex ROCKS! God I love overproduced musical TV specials, don’t you? Now if we could only get Piss Miggy her own TV special.

Thanks for honoring the new website with such a fantastic find!
The Divine Miss P. I’m sure inspired many a young queen.

can we somehow get her on FOF?

Darlings, Merci, Merci beaucoup for all of your lovely compliments! Moi would adore being a guest on this lovely show! However, I will have have to talk to Marty, my agent, and see if I can fit an interview into my busy schedule. Between reading movie scripts and photo shoots and other glamorous things that Moi does on a daily basis, it’s simply impossible to fit something else in. But rest assured, my darlings, Piss Miggy will be much easier to get a hold of than that other impostor. Kissy Kissy!

Love you Piss Miggy!

looks like miss piggy has had major work done…what a hot mess

Piss Miggy, you’ve been away for so long….. “So much to say not just today but always… Yes, everything’s as if we never said goodbye”…

Love you!!!
